Specialized support for first-generation students with Anthology Ally
There is much debate surrounding the term “first-generation” students in terms of the qualifying characteristics earmarked for this designation. Yet, there’s comprehensive agreement about the challenges and barriers they face when it comes to achieving academic success in the classroom. Whether contending with a lack of college readiness, financial instability, or undiagnosed learning disabilities – first-generation students sometimes face a more arduous ascent to success than their second-generation counterparts. It’s now more important than ever to ensure steps are taken to help mitigate challenges and improve their academic outcomes.
