Anthology is committed to providing products that are usable by as many people as possible by placing an emphasis on accessibility throughout the product design and development process. Accessibility champions throughout our organization are integrated into the development process.
Conformance
Anthology’s products are generally designed and developed to with internationally recognized Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as well as Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, in mind. Anthology strives to meet global accessibility standards WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria and conducts accessibility testing of its products to assess conformance with industry standards. Conformance for each product is documented in the respective product Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) which may be provided upon request.
Testing and Tools
Some of the tools used to conduct accessibility testing include:
- The DHS Trusted Tester process, which includes manual processes based on IAAP WAS testing methods and manual testing with screen readers.
- The W3C Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) which includes manual accessibility testing, automated accessibility tools, and testing with assistive technology across multiple platforms and browsers.
- WAVE by WebAIM; axeDevTools by Deque; Lighthouse; NVDA; JAWS; Apple Voiceover; Google Talkback; Dragon Naturally Speaking; Read & Write; Read Aloud; ARC Rules accessibility evaluator; Accessibility Viewer; Accessibility Insights for Web; browser developer tools; color contrast analyzers by WebAIM and TPGi; and the W3C Nu HTML Checker.
