Bruce Dahlgren
Bruce Dahlgren is a seasoned technology executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience. As Chief Executive Officer at Anthology, Bruce leads our diverse team of higher education and technology experts to empower our clients with innovative solutions and services. He strongly believes in the importance of a company’s purpose and how organizations can serve the greater good.
Before joining Anthology, Bruce was most recently CEO of MetricStream, the global leader in enterprise cloud platform and applications for integrated governance, risk, and compliance. In addition, he held senior executive positions with Kony, the leading cloud-based enterprise application and mobility solutions provider, and he spent more than 10 years at HP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise–including serving as HPE’s senior vice president and managing director of the Asia Pacific and Japan region.
Bruce currently sits on the board of trustees for Stetson University, an independent liberal arts university founded in 1883. He received an MBA and bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stetson University and attended the Wharton Executive Education Program.
Brian Hoffmann
As Chief People Officer, Brian brings nearly 30 years of human resources expertise and highly efficient operations management to the organization. He guides the creation and implementation of transformative strategies to inspire and empower Anthology’s global workforce to grow, develop, and succeed.
Before joining Anthology, he was senior vice president of human resources at MetricStream, the global market leader in integrated risk management and GRC. There, he helped teams around the globe thrive in their mission to connect governance, risk management, and compliance across enterprise operations. Previously, he spent decades in various HR leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, continuously working to support the growth of the company’s people while also maximizing operational effectiveness.
Brian holds a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, as well as a master’s of business administration in human resources, marketing, and management from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
Cynthia Haynie
As Chief Technology Officer with more than 35 years of experience, Cynthia is a proven technical leader responsible for creating and leading the company’s technology vision and strategy as a global provider of solutions for higher education.
Prior to Anthology, Cynthia served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Campus Management, where she was responsible for research and development, innovation, product design and delivery of best-in-class cloud solutions for higher education. Previously, Cynthia served as Chief Technology Officer at SolArc, Inc., a global provider of commodity trading and risk management solutions.
She has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M and master’s degrees in both information systems from the University of Denver and technology management from Pepperdine University.
Garrick Bernstein
As Anthology’s Chief Financial Officer, Garrick brings more than 20 years of experience building global financial success in technology-enabled businesses. A proven financial leader, he oversees the optimization of the company’s investments and is focused on driving strategic growth and profitability.
Before joining Anthology, Garrick served as CFO for Twin Health, Inc., a mission-oriented healthcare technology company leveraging artificial intelligence. Prior to that, he held numerous financial leadership positions in both private equity and growth-oriented technology companies, including organizations with diverse financial business models, including SaaS.
Garrick graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in political science and finance.
Joe Belenardo
As Chief Revenue Officer at Anthology, Joe brings more than 30 years of direct sales and executive management experience. Throughout his career, he has been a firm believer in building strong relationships as a servant leader to drive team collaboration and serve our clients.
In his previous roles at Anthology, Joe served as vice president Americas, vice president of global sales, and vice president of lifecycle engagement, in which he was responsible for all aspects of client satisfaction, revenue growth, expansion, and sales results. Before joining Anthology, he led the global sales, marketing, and solution architect teams at Systech, a brand protection company. And prior to Systech, Joe developed an extensive background in education technology through several successful sales and leadership roles at Ellucian, Workday, Liaison, Peoplefluent, and Ciber.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in business with a dual concentration in MIS and marketing from Northeastern University.
Nicolaas Matthijs
As Chief Product Officer, Nicolaas leads the product strategy for Anthology’s holistic EdTech ecosystem. He is passionate about helping solve the needs of students, instructors and institutions around the world and delivering high quality, enjoyable and innovative product experiences.
Nicolaas has nearly 20 years of experience in EdTech, having worked for several institutions around the world. He was the co-founder of Fronteer, developing Ally, a revolutionary tool that helps institutions make their course materials more accessible for all learners. Following the acquisition of Fronteer by Blackboard, Nicolaas joined the organization as Product Director for Ally before leading the Product Management team for Anthology’s Learning Management System.
He holds a degree in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing from the University of Cambridge.
Josh Portnoy
As Chief Customer Officer, Josh is laser-focused on client satisfaction. With 20 years of senior leadership experience in software and services operations, he understands the importance of listening and analyzing challenges from different perspectives to identify improved processes, solutions, and services. Plus, he creates organizational environments that value client success and is passionate about leading large, productive teams that build relationships and enable change.
Previously, as vice president of Professional Services at Anthology, Josh led a high-performing team that excelled at supporting clients through the implementation process and nurtured them through product adoption. Before joining Anthology, he spent 15 years leading teams that implemented higher ed and Microsoft-specific software. He also owned multiple successful professional services businesses. Josh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Florida.
Michael Pohorylo
As Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel, Michael leads the Anthology legal team with over a decade and a half of experience in litigation and contract negotiations. He is committed to facilitating the mission, strategies, and objectives of Anthology through a business-centric legal strategy.
Previously, as Deputy General Counsel at Anthology, Michael served as the lead attorney for Anthology’s domestic and international client, vendor, reseller, and channel partner contracting. Prior to that, Michael served in various roles in the EdTech industry as an in-house attorney for Blackboard Inc. and Higher One, Inc. Mike began his career as an attorney in the commercial litigation department of a large law firm following a clerkship with the Connecticut Appellate Court.
Michael has a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College with a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Boston College and a Juris Doctor with honors from University of Connecticut School of Law.
Kevin Goffinet
As Chief Operating Officer at Anthology, Kevin brings a diverse background in sales, operations, marketing and M&A that will align all parts of the business and drive corporate strategy and communications. With over 30 years in the IT and software industry, Kevin’s role is central to driving Anthology’s market strategy around the globe.
Prior to joining Anthology, Kevin acted as SVP of Corporate Strategy at MetricStream, a software company focused on governance, risk, and compliance products. Previously, he spent over a decade at Lexmark International in diverse executive roles from marketing to software integration, including multiple European-based assignments. He also spent several years as an independent consultant, helping guide the go-to-market strategies for small and mid-sized software companies in both the US and Europe.
Kevin has a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a culinary certificate from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.
Viki Hucke-McCright
As Senior Vice President, Customer Advocacy, Viki brings with her two and a half decades of experience. She is at the forefront of the company’s initiative to ensure excellence across Anthology, driving operational advancements and supporting continuous improvements to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Previously as Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at Campus Management, her contribution to the leadership team was critical to the growth of the company. She helped champion product launches, strengthened customer relationships, and developed operational improvements that served as a catalyst for global success. Prior to that, she served as Senior Vice President, Career Education, ensuring the needs of clients delivering career education were met throughout the organization.
She began her career in higher education, with roles in both financial aid and student finance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University.
Amy Rhodes
Amy leads internal, external, and executive communications for Anthology. With over 25 years of experience in marketing and communication roles, both in-house and at agencies, Amy is focused on creating global impact with measurable results.
She has a strong background in leading business to business marketing and communications programs for technology companies such as Sony and HP as part of the Porter Novelli team for almost 15 years. Most recently, Amy served as the Head of Corporate Communications for MetricStream, a governance, risk, and compliance SaaS leader. She has also led brand strategy and development in education, construction and development, non-profit, and technology sectors.
Amy has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Journalism and earned the Public Relations Society of America Accredited Public Relations (APR) for strategic planning and execution.
